Why page layouts are built in SP Page Builder

SP Page Builder, from JoomShaper, edits pages in the front end: click a section, change the text or image and see it in place. It also sets page titles, meta descriptions and Open Graph images for each page, which helps with search and social sharing. We use it for all our Joomla templates, together with JoomShaper’s Helix Ultimate framework.

Free or Pro template

Questions and answers

Do I need SP Page Builder Pro?

No. The templates work with the free SP Page Builder. Buy Pro from JoomShaper only if you want its extra elements.

Can I edit pages without the builder?

Yes. Joomla articles and modules still work as normal; SP Page Builder is used for the designed pages.

Will my layouts survive a template update?

Yes. SP Page Builder stores page layouts in the database, separately from the template files.
