Once we edit the default K2 template, or even before doing so, it is important to make a “template override” to save the changes when we make the upgrade version Range of K2.
Very simple procedure. All you need to do is copy the contents of / components / com_k2 / templates / and paste them into the folder / templates / suplantilladejoomla / html / com_k2 / folder (if no folders have been created).
As you will see a number of files in the “root” directory / templates / suplantilladejoomla / html / com_k2 / but still the same as any form. Others are still in the “default” is the template that will be selected by default.
Copy the “default” folder, we changed the name, and so create a new pattern. We can modify the sample file and select it as the default template from the overall configuration of K2. We can also continue to use the “default”, but now, when we update, we will not lose the changes.
